Pussy Parler Community: Monthly live Q & A
Next meet: July 19th 10am to 11am 2023
Join us for our first online event of 2023 (followed by a monthly meet which you can dip into as you wish), join the conversation around pelvic health & well-being
What I have come to realize over the years, is that as women, many of us don’t fully understand our bodies ~ we might have some vague remembrances of sex ed, or biology classes at school, but unless we’ve found ourselves with fertility issues or repro conditions, sadly, our learning might have been frozen in some kinda teen zone. Not helpful generally, but understandings have moved on.
So you might have found yourself having a smear/pap test or gynae appointment & you’re sitting there & they’re throwing a load of random words at you & flurry of anxiety & shame (because you think you SHOULD know) rises, so you don’t ask them to explain. Upshot is, you come out, clueless & with more anxiety than you had to begin with. Google, useful as it is, may not be the best route, but you can’t help yourself from taking a look anyways …. Cue, more confusion, fear, overwhelm ~ you get the picture.
So, my intention is to debunk some myths, half known truths & some down right misunderstandings & place you in a space of empowered understanding about your own body ~ knowledge = power and in this case, it’s absolutely the truth. Let’s not play by those rules anymore, let’s instead find our own information & how that relates to our own unique bodies, because everyone is going to experience things in their own unique way.
Women’s body’s are phenomenal when you consider what they can do & yet we can still feel ashamed of basic functions ~ periods, pre-menstruum emotions & feelings, conditions which affect our fertility, urinary leakage & painful vaginas post birth & peri/menopause “stuff”, just when we thought when we were getting to grips with our own personal nuances. It’s a rich terrain once we find the keys to our understanding ~ and the benefits are huge.
What I am loving about this offering, is that it’s developing into a beautiful held & safe space. It’s also about us supporting each other. I’m witnessing a hugely generous heart opening community arising ~ where each woman has something to offer another in terms of experiences, suggestions (when asked for) & witnessing
Caveat ~ obvious, but needs to be stated ~ I am not a doctor, consultant, nurse or specialist but what I am is a person living in a female body, for a fair few years now. And, I’ve specialized in female repro health since around 2009, with the last 6 or so as an Holistic Pelvic Care practitioner, so I’ve experienced ALOT of v^ginas in my time (can confirm they are ALL different and that post vaginal births, they are different again)
Interested? Got any burning questions or you’d like to be part of the conversation? This will be a FREE monthly event.
